AUDIOBOOKS
As an English major with a passion for language and story, audiobook narration has become a thrilling new path. One of my earliest jobs coming out of college was touring high schools with a solo show adaptation of Southern writer Eudora Welty’s “Why I Live at the PO”; now I can leave behind the rental car and come to readers and listeners wherever there are earphones, sharing literature old and new.
One ongoing project I hope you’ll look out for is a work by my late mother, Donna Parson, which I am working on completing as an audio book. In Alma and Herta, a historical novel based on my Estonian father’s life and family, two women live tumultous lives from both inside and outside of the Iron Curtain.
My most recently narrated book is available through Audible:
A blend between the Amish Romance genre and historical fiction, More Than He Bargained For by Karen Whalen Gouker is third-person narration.
